Therefore, I understand what the thread of discussion is...I have never had a lawyer in poverty law take on a case for me..On the other hand, those I know personally have experienced the same...we for the most part have been forced to do for ourselves in many areas...and get kicked down one more time for attempting to escape the poverty class and I don`t belong here …but due to circumstances beyond my control here I sit..and without a family doctor or a doctor willing to fill out forms a person is caught on OW and expected to meet all the qualifiers for a meager existence.

Clawing back half of a person’s wages really means they are working for less than minimum wage and again it is of no benefit to the poverty class as one never earns enough to break free of the system and where does the money go anyway!!
Bill 22 taking away the right to unionize has dropped off the table altogether and no regard for persons forced into workfare with no protection
The back to school allowance or winter clothing is this too a good policy to reduce poverty…
Total up all the cuts to the poverty class and it only gets worse not better ..
You are innocent till proven poor
On averages people lose their employment are on OW for a short period of time and are able to access services to find gainful employment...the ones who are on it for an extended period of time are people that should be on ODSP. They struggle with many problems/ issues that will disable them from ever finding and keeping employment that provides a living wage...
Most often, the ones who claim to fight for change is of ill benefit to those living in abject poverty.
Policy- makers never include or ask the poverty class what can be done to "fix it" except for tokenism and often if a poor person does have a good idea or thought it is capitalized by the ruling class above
